Interesting sightings

First of all, Gentle Readers, prepare yourselves for my X-rated shot of the trip...



Maybe its because we are on an Italian ship. Whatever the reason.  Men here wear bikinis. Not all of them, of course, but even a few are too many! Yes, I did catch the full frontal view. Too awful for words.

Today we are in Cozemel. Again, I'm just looking down at the town and staying on board. Not at all sure we are missing much, other than Diamonds International,  of course.

Last night we watched the debate. Well, much of it. I gave up completely after the golf commentary! So scary!!!

Hope everyone is staying cool, wherever you are. We have retreated to the AC!

    That is great shot of Cozumel. Glad you are keeping up with the news--Romayne loved the newspaper printouts. So you are in the speedo scene--tsk, tsk, these Europeans. At least you
    didn't do a frontal shot. Keep safe, and continue to enjoy your ship-not-to shore cruise.

High seas and (near) fall

The clouds mounted yesterday while in Cozemel and the Captain alerted us to rough seas coming up when we left port. The darkening sky was pretty clear warning as well. 60 knot winds, to be exact. My faithful Goldie (walker/rollator) was not quite up for the challenge and I veered off course in a hallway after dinner, right into a wall. It was good Monica had insisted on a butler escort from the dining room. He grabbed me and averted a crash for me and a heart attack for Monica! Whew! Over night the high seas continued but that made for good sleeping,  so no worries.  Too windy (30 knots) for going on the pool deck today, so we headed out of our "bubble"...the Yacht Club... and into the mega ship for shopping.  Discounted perfume served our need to spend our few cruise credit dollars. Rainy Day Three

Beer at 10 am as we read and watch the drizzles. The ship remains at the "private island" yet another day. As I think about it, this is a good business model for them. No fuel. No port charges. And passengers happy as clams to hang out on sandy shores.   Yesterday we explored the rest of the ship while most people were ashore. It's VERY glitzy in a very Italian way. It's also very tech savvy. I'm not at all sure I can explain the 21st century elevator operations! And I probably haven't mentioned every bit of info comes to you electronically. No daily paper. No map of the ship you can carry in your hands.  MSC Cruises touts it's "Foundation" to "save the blue planet". It's easy to be skeptical about such stuff, but I want to be hopeful.
