Can we get lazier than today?

We woke up to a small port in Mexico, Playa del ___. Or, is it Costa del ___? It's really hard to care where we are when I pledged to Td that I will NOT venture into any ports.

Ours is not the only cruise ship visiting this tiny burg today. A gigantic (tho not as big as ours) Royal Carib, and an elderly tiny Royal Carib joined us.

We tried to hang out on the pool deck in the sun. Started there about 8 am and were sweltering by 10. So much for that! Back to the ac, a cool shower, a visit to check out the spa, and lunch. 

Monica napped away the afternoon.  I finished my VERY challenging book, Countercultural. (Next cruise, I'm bringing John Grisham!)

Tonight there's a pool deck party for the Yacht Club crowd. And the Presidential debate. Hmmm. Which??? Time will tell...

    Roxy says (when I read aloud your blog) that her blood pressure eases discernibly, her pulse slows and anxieties vanish. All vicarious! I’ve signed her up for a cruise.

First of all, Gentle Readers, prepare yourselves for my X-rated shot of the trip... Maybe its because we are on an Italian ship. Whatever the reason.  Men here wear bikinis. High seas and (near) fall

The clouds mounted yesterday while in Cozemel and the Captain alerted us to rough seas coming up when we left port. The darkening sky was pretty clear warning as well. 60 knot winds, to be exact. My faithful Goldie (walker/rollator) was not quite up for the challenge and I veered off course in a hallway after dinner, right into a wall. It was good Monica had insisted on a butler escort from the dining room. He grabbed me and averted a crash for me and a heart attack for Monica! Whew! Over night the high seas continued but that made for good sleeping,  so no worries.  Too windy (30 knots) for going on the pool deck today, so we headed out of our "bubble"...the Yacht Club... and into the mega ship for shopping.  Discounted perfume served our need to spend our few cruise credit dollars.
